2. Located in the Berlin Area, near Oranienburg camp.
3. Had 44 sub-camps located near the main camp.
4. 30000 Jews were arrested in an operation called Kristallnacht. 6000 of the 30000 were moved to Sachsenhausen.
5. On May 3, 1940 1200 Polish prisoners were put in Sachsenhausen.
6. In mid-November 1941, the SS deported 18000 Soviet POW to Sachsenhausen.
7. Prisoners in Sachsenhausen died due to starvation, exposure, abuse, and lack of medical care.
8. Mentally and Physically ill people were killed in a program called Euthanasisa.
9. More than 13000 Soviet prisoners were killed in Sachsenhausen.
10.Prisoners in Sachsenhausen were subject to horrible medical experiments.
11.The barracks were made of rotted wood.
12.In April 1940 the first crematory was built in Sachsenhausen.
13.33000 prisoners were made to leave Sachsenhausen on death marches.
14.By the end of the war 65000 prisoners were kept in Sachsenhausen.
